Yazawa 2004 Tour Diary (4)

05 August 2004 Hot Days & Hot Nights

So, we're 5 days into rehearsals for the acoustic tour and already it's sounding FAB... talking of which, I'm listening to The Beatles while writing this. Rich came over tonight and we traded songs from our i-Ttunes... what a band.  Such great songs... it reminds me of when I was 10 or 11 and my sister had their records.  I would listen to them for hours on end.

There is so much musicality in the band right now, and everyone is really listening to each other, and beginning to play off each other.  It's so great to work with such talented guys! We have been hangin' out at our favourite Yakatori restaurant in Shinjuku.  It's in a dark alley, down a side street... real old fashioned Tokyo but we love it. Spirits are high, and we're itching to get back on the road and start the shows. I ran into an old friend the other night, see the pics for details. Will keep you all posted on things as we go along. I also ran into my dear old mate Knobbe, stage manager at the rock festival... a real pro and great guy.  Good on ya sir !!
